Karen Black is an estate planning, trust, probate and elder law attorney, practicing in California. Her diverse background (life before law) includes: legal secretary, construction estimator and office manager; Suzuki motorcycle dealer and truck bumper salesperson. Karen's husband, Cole Black, spent almost seven years as a Prisoner of War in Vietnam. Karen has four children and Cole has one son from previous marriages.

Code of Conduct is her first published novel.

Cole Black Obituary
Cole Black of Escondido, who by his own count spent 2,428 days, 18 hours and 35 minutes as a POW in Vietnam, died Friday November 9th 2007 in a plane crash near Delano in the Central Valley.
